The KITZ SZA is KITZ Corporation's Type 600 forged brass ball valve — full bore, screwed ends, rated 4.14 MPa (600 psi) WOG non-shock. It is the valve most Indian buyers actually mean when they ask for a KITZ brass ball valve: a compact, low-torque quarter-turn isolation valve for water, oil, gas and compressed air lines from 1/4" up to 4".
Concorde Valves & Automations has been an authorised KITZ distributor since 2012. We stock KITZ brass ball valves in Mumbai and supply them against project and MRO requirements across India, with the manufacturer's test certificate available on request.

Two design decisions define the SZA and explain why it is specified where a cheaper cast brass valve would do the job on paper.
The SZA is a two-piece, bolted body-and-cap design in forged brass. Forging rather than casting the body gives a denser, pore-free wall — and that is what the pressure rating rests on.
Because the bore is full, the SZA has effectively the same flow area as the pipe it sits in. There is no step down at the valve.
They do not — both terms describe the same product. SZA is a brass valve, so the two names are interchangeable. The only material exception in the range is the 4" size, where the body and body cap are bronze rather than forged brass. Everything from 1/4" to 3" is forged brass.
Specifications below are KITZ's published figures for the SZA Type 600 forged brass ball valve. Confirm the exact build with us against your line conditions before ordering — thread form and seat material in particular vary by application.
| Model / Figure | SZA (KITZ Type 600, full bore) |
|---|---|
| Valve Type | Two-piece floating ball valve, quarter-turn |
| Size Range | 1/4" to 4" (8–100 mm) |
| Pressure Rating | 4.14 MPa (600 psi) WOG non-shock, ambient |
| Rating at 150 °C | 1.03 MPa (150 psi) WOG |
| Body / Body Cap | Forged brass (bronze in 4" size) |
| Ball | Brass, tin-nickel plated (1/4"–3"); nickel-chrome plated (4") |
| Stem | Brass, nickel plated |
| Ball Seat | PTFE |
| Stem O-ring | FKM |
| End Connection | Screwed / threaded, BS21 (JIS B0203); ASME B1.20.1 NPT variant available |
| Bore | Full bore (reduced-bore Type 600 equivalent also produced) |
| Operation | Lever handle, quarter-turn |
| Service | Water, oil, gas (WOG), compressed air |
The table below sets out how the SZA build changes across the range. Sizes outside your immediate requirement are worth noting if you are standardising a plant on one figure number.
| Size | Body / Body Cap | Ball Plating | Bore | Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1/4" – 3/4" (8–20 mm) | Forged brass | Tin-nickel | Full | 600 psi WOG |
| 1" – 2" (25–50 mm) | Forged brass | Tin-nickel | Full | 600 psi WOG |
| 2-1/2" – 3" (65–80 mm) | Forged brass | Tin-nickel | Full | 600 psi WOG |
| 4" (100 mm) | Bronze | Nickel-chrome | Full | 600 psi WOG |
Pressure ratings are cold working (WOG non-shock) figures and derate with temperature. Ask us for the pressure–temperature curve if your service runs above ambient.
Brass is the right body material where the fluid is compatible and cost matters. It is not the right choice for de-mineralised water, dosing chemicals, seawater or anything that will de-zincify brass — on those duties ask us about the KITZ stainless steel range instead.

Concorde Valves & Automations is an ISO 9001:2015 certified valve manufacturer and stockist operating from Mumbai, and has held an authorised KITZ distributorship since 2012. Practically, that means three things when you order an SZA from us.
Not a near-equivalent substituted at the last minute because the original was slow to source.
The manufacturer's own certificate, available on request at order stage — not a document we generate.
Wrong material for the fluid, wrong thread standard, rated below your line pressure — we say so before we quote.
On KITZ product we are a distributor, not a trader. The valves come through authorised supply channels with KITZ's own markings and documentation intact — which is what lets us stand behind the figure number on the body and put the manufacturer's certificate in your hands.
Brass is not always the right answer. If the fluid attacks brass, or you need flanged ends rather than screwed, the KITZ stainless steel flanged range is usually the better fit. Concorde also manufactures its own ball valve range in-house where the KITZ brand is not a specification requirement.
Every claim below can be checked before you place an order — ask us for the certificate, the distributorship confirmation or the registration number and we will send it.
KITZ product comes through authorised channels, not the grey market — with KITZ's own cast body markings, figure number and pressure rating intact.
Our manufacturing runs under a certified quality management system, and the same process governs how bought-in product is received, stored and despatched.
Ask at order stage and we supply the MTC against your batch. On KITZ product that is the manufacturer's own certificate, not a document we generate.
A registered Indian manufacturer — which matters where your procurement policy requires it, and where MSME payment terms apply to the purchase.
Send size, material and end connection and you get price, availability and lead time inside a working day — or a straight answer that we cannot supply it.
Because we both manufacture and distribute, we have no reason to push one over the other. If the material is wrong for your fluid or the class is under-rated, we say so before quoting.
SZA is KITZ's figure number for its Type 600 forged brass ball valve with a full bore and screwed ends. The "600" refers to the 600 psi WOG non-shock cold working pressure rating, not to a size or a flange class. A reduced-bore equivalent exists in the same Type 600 forged brass family — tell us your Cv or bore requirement and we will confirm the correct figure number.
Yes. SZA is a forged brass valve, so "KITZ SZA ball valve" and "KITZ SZA brass ball valve" refer to the same product. The 4-inch size uses a bronze body and body cap rather than brass; everything below that is forged brass.
4.14 MPa (600 psi) WOG non-shock at ambient temperature, derating to 1.03 MPa (150 psi) at 150 °C. Confirm the working conditions with us before selection so we can check the pressure–temperature curve for your fluid.
The standard SZA is supplied with taper threads to BS21 (equivalent to JIS B0203). A variant with ASME B1.20.1 NPT threads is also produced. Tell us which thread form your pipework uses when you enquire — the two are not interchangeable.
The SZA is rated for water, oil and gas (WOG) service. KITZ builds separate bronze and cast steel ranges for saturated steam duty. If your line carries steam, tell us the pressure and temperature and we will point you at the correct KITZ range instead.
We hold KITZ brass ball valves at our Mumbai stockholding in commonly moving sizes and can call off the balance through our KITZ distributorship. Send us the size and quantity and we will confirm availability and lead time within 24 hours.
A genuine valve carries KITZ's cast body markings, the figure number and the pressure rating on the body, and comes with traceable documentation. We supply only through authorised channels and can provide the manufacturer's test certificate on request.
Send us the size, thread standard and quantity — we will confirm stock, price and lead time within 24 hours.
